There are very few days that go by that I don’t check on Woot‘s various pages for whatever it is that they are selling that day. But unfortunately last week there was a shirt that got away before I even knew what I was missing (as it turns out, it was sold out before I made it to the office that morning). If anyone knows of a source by which I’d be able to acquire a copy of it, I am willing to pay top dollar (and by top dollar I mean somewhere between the original $10 and some reasonable margin above that plus shipping).
For those completely confused by this whole conversation, let me explain. If you are not aware of what Woot is, you are missing out on an intriguing shopping experience. Woot specializes in selling electronics at amazingly great deals … one product at a time. Each day, Woot puts forth a single product for sale at a remarkably low price and sells that single product until midnight or until their supplies run out – whichever comes first. Then the next day they start fresh with a new deal and the cycle continues.
In addition to their primary site, there are three other Woot sites: sellout.woot.com (also electronics, but through a partnership with Yahoo! Shopping); wine.woot.com (deals on wine); and shirt.woot.com (printed t-shirts).
Anyway, last week shirt.woot.com had a shirt with the included art printed on it and upon seeing it, I knew I had to have it … but was disappointed to find I couldn’t. So again, if anyone knows where I could find one on sale elsewhere, I’m all ears. If not, at least I was able to share this interesting design with you – I hope you find it as amusing as I did.
Ok – as an update on this, I no longer need a source to buy this shirt as it seems that shirt.woot occasionally will bring back popular shirts for a slightly higher price (http://shirt.woot.com/friends.aspx?k=8207). So I just ordered one. Thanks anyway, though.
