So I was listening to the radio the other day on my commute to work and overheard an interview with Danica McKellar.  She was on promoting her new math for girls book called Kiss My Math. But as expected, the conversation easily steered in the direction of the role that she is most famous for – Winnie Cooper (if you are too young to know and appreciate this, then I feel sorry for you).  And in this conversation I learned something surprising and disappointing. Knighted

I finally made it out to see “Dark Knight” (see my prior post to read more about my delays in getting to the theater).  My sister-in-law volunteered to babysit the kids for the evening so my wife and I could step out on a date.  And what better date for a couple married over 11 years than one that involves very little conversation (sorry, dear – the joke was there).  She wanted to see it as much as I did, so it was a welcome retreat for both of us.  Though after seeing it, I think she isn’t sure it was the retreat she had hoped for. Psyched

I will not deny that I am a TV junkie.  I have more television guilty pleasures than most people have favorite shows.  One of these is a show on USA called Psych (on Friday’s at 10:00 PM ET – the latest season premiered last week).  In a television landscapes littered with dramas too serious and comedies a bit formulaic, this show manages to be both a suspenseful drama and a surprising comedy without ever taking itself too seriously.
